Miriam Carrillo

Carrillo was born in Barcelona, Spain in October 1976.

A painter, designer, and generally a creative soul her passion for her craft is immediately visible to the eye of the beholder.

Art is Carrillo’s world.As a young child she preferred a pencil or brush to a toy.

She graduated in design and illustration at ICM (Barcelona) in 1992.

Carrillo continuously researches new materials and techniques, she loves the challenge to learn and is curious by nature. She finds in her work a range of infinite possibilities.

5 years ago, Carrillo became part of the Aurum project (El Masnou) where she would start work as a teacher to teach design, drawing and painting.

Carrillo’s passion for art is shared through her teachings and personal works from her art studio in Tiana (Barcelona). This is the nerve centre of all her projects.

Carrillo uses several mediums, but textures in her vast range of white works is where she likes to be more experimental and adventurous, with her special mixture of materials she achieves stronger and more touching pieces.

Her goal is to bring the viewer true reflections of heart and soul.
