Alexander is a visual artist and was born in one of the most unique, mystical and enigmatic places on earth. It’s called Far East Russia. A very long time ago it was a very powerful, strong kingdom called Balhae.
Siberia and the Russian Far East are home to some of the most profoundly beautiful wilderness areas left on earth. Russia’s diverse landscapes support an incredible biodiversity, including one-fifth of the world’s forests, all of this quickly woke up Alexander’s imagination as a four years old child and gave him the strongest impulse to create art.
By the time Alexander reached his twenties the creation and studies of art completely swallowed him, he was in state of craziness, his life became destined to create and study fine art.
In 1991 Alexander moved to Canada, where he continued to work on his drawings and paintings, as well as studying and becoming fascinated by the early Netherlandish/Flemish artists, as well as the greatest surrealist artists.
Alexander has had several publications and TV interviews, and many pieces of his art have been sold to private collectors around the globe. He has had the honour to represent Canada with his surrealistic drawings and paintings of “The flying islands” at the “Salvador Dali and Fantastic Realism” exhibition in Otaru, Japan in 1998 with artists like Max Ernest, Ernest Fuchs and G.R Geiger.
For many years Alexander has promoted the Neo-Renaissance movement, but you must understand that is not his only calling, his other calling is to all artists to give birth to, to restore and to renovate creations of fine art! He has realised that to be recognised as a Master of fine art, it is not enough only to create art, but also to become an advocate of art.
