Lost – Courtenay Kusitor

Lost, Transformation and Confidence paintings were created one after the other in that sequence. Unknowingly, I was documenting my life at the time. From a very vulnerable emotional state to a much more empowered and positive disposition.

Lost is exactly how I felt at that point. I’d promised myself some time off after the closure of my studio but found myself really soul searching and trying to decide what to do next. I knew it would be painting but I had lost alot of confidence. As the painting came to life, I felt much better. I had poured my feelings out onto paper and released the frustration I was feeling.

Feeling lost in life can be a very anxious time. I came out of it by setting small goals, things I wanted to get done in order to get myself back on the right path, because its there, in between those intertwining lines are openings and opportunities to take. No one ever stays lost forever, we all eventually find our way.
